UPDATE: Gazprom forecasts non-CIS exports price in 2018 at $230

(Adds details in paragraphs 3, 5)

MOSCOW, Apr 27 (PRIME) -- Gazprom forecasts that the price of its exports to non-CIS countries will stand at about U.S. $230 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2018, Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said at a conference call on Friday.

“Compared to the last year, our price forecast has increased. The price was $232.04 in the first quarter. I think that the forecast for 2018 will be in this range: about $230 (per 1,000 cubic meters),” Medvedev said.

The average price for the CIS states can edge up in 2018 from $162 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2017, Medevedev said.

Medvedev also said that Gazprom hopes for constructive negotiations on gas transit across Ukraine after 2019.

China will not prepay for supplies via the Sila Sibiri pipeline, he said. “Prepayment was on the agenda during discussion of the commercial terms of the contract and since prepayment inevitably influences the commercial terms, we’ve jointly decided to forego prepayment. The terms of payments for our supplies will be standard.”
